For many, waking up to clear, blue skies and temperatures in the eighties sounds close to perfect. However, these circumstances result in rather uninteresting atmospheric conditions and often lackluster sunrises and sunsets. In late September and early October, the Rockies were experiencing just these types of conditions, an Indian summer. After more than a week of waiting for the weather to turn, our patience was rewarded with a pair of magnificent sunrises. The clouds and early light combine to create incredibly dramatic and stunning scene.
