An October storm blankets the Early Winters Spires, also known as the Liberty Bell Group, in a fresh coat of snow as morning light filters through rapidly moving clouds. At 7800 feet, South Early Winters Spire, the tallest of the group, towers over Washington Pass in the North Cascades.
